Position purpose
We are currently looking for a Linux administrator to work in a team which is responsible for supporting server infrastructure of one of the leading ICT provider on German market.
Job description
- Server administration and support
- Performing changes and tasks according to standardized as well as non-standard operating procedures
- Handling incidents & tasks according to agreed SLAs
- Applying patches and system upgrades
- Administering local and SAN storage, planning & performing storage migrations
- Installing and configuring backup clients
- Performing data backup and recovery
- Monitoring backup infrastructure
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation & procedures up-to-date
Candidate’s profile
- Experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9, 10, 11)
- Very good know how in MS Office
- Basic skills for SAN management
- Proactive team player
- Good knowledge of German language
- Communicative knowledge of English language
- Flexible
- Willing to work with different cultures
