Assistant Contract Manager (CCM Flying Squad)

Role Overview
  • Active member of Flying Squad teams 
  • Provides contract management expertise to the business to help ensure fulfilment of the contractual obligations, avoid financial penalties, maximize engagement revenue and profit 
  • The role may include being a single point of contact for all contractual aspects, post-signature, for complex agreements. It will also involve support on pre-signature phase activities as well as in the post-signature phase commercial disputes or up -sells. The person in this role will be mentoring lower grade team members
  • The role may include travel

Responsibilities
Participation in Flying Squad projects to:
  • exhaustively review contracts and verify the delivery status/delivery readiness
  • act as expert in contract management matters with business acumen
  • ensure the delivery team understands the contractual obligations and provides advice and guidance to the team on all matters relating to the contract.
  • ensure that contractual obligations can be fulfilled such that revenue and margin are maximized and that costs are reduced
  • implement/advice how to implement commercial, contract and risk management best practice e.g. document control and archiving, management of risk register, log of deliverables etc.
  • provide report to management on findings of Flying Squad projects
  • actively proposing commercial/contract management process improvements within iCCM and supported engagements
  • full ownership, responsibility and accountability for commercial/contract supported provided to the internal and external clients
  • responsible for oversight of engagements, working in tandem with lower grade iCCM team members
  • responsible for identifying risks
  • proactively suggests options to drive out costs and to increase revenue and margin

May include:
  • leading a regional team/project, client relationship and business development
  • full ownership, responsibility and accountability for commercial/contract supported provided to the internal and external clients
  • expending, if possible, the scope of services delivered
  • organizing and coordinating support from iCCM team members (if required by the specific role)
 
Candidate’s profile
  • A good understanding of typical terms and obligations found in outsourcing contracts (including specific variations that may apply to a particular market/geography because of legislation/regulation or common practice e.g. ARD, Sarbanes Oxley/SAS70, EU Data Protection, Financial Distress, etc)
  • Fluent knowledge of English (verbal and written); other languages will be an advantage (in particular: Spanish)
