Contract Transformation Manager

Position purpose
The candidate is applying for a key role as the bridge between client’s departments and third parties as well as internal commercial, legal and delivery teams. Performing a challenging and diverse role, a Contract Transformation Manager is often responsible for overseeing all areas of a contract lifecycle management, implementing any process changes and delivering measurable improvements. This position is the single point of contact for all contractual questions for complex agreements with external and/or internal clients.

Main accountabilities
  • Act as point of contact between different departments within the client and relevant third parties;
  • Maintains and continuously improves best in class contract management discipline, including contract policies and processes (including enablement tools & templates) to ensure meeting or exceeding business expectations; 
  • Communicates effectively on contract management matters to client’s departments and third parties as well as internal teams;
  • Responsible for recognizing areas for improvement within a client’s contract and supplier management processes;
  • Reviews new and existing processes, resources and systems, proposing and overseeing any changes to the client’s infrastructure and processes where necessary.
  • Takes ownership of post signature negotiations and tasks such as change control notes, amendments, and contract renewal;
  • Identify any risks regarding changes and develop a strategy to overcome or address these
  • Monitors contractual obligations of all parties and provides continuous review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met in a timely fashion; 
  • Negotiates, monitors and manages relevant subcontractor contracts; 
  • Implements the strategic direction for the contract management discipline;
  • Reviews and provides feedback on contract management team work product;
  • Provides training and mentoring for junior team members
  • Acts as an internal escalation point for certain contract management queries or disputes
  • Acts as internal advocate for contract management within Capgemini

Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff, at all levels, and third parties
  • Excellent knowledge of English language both spoken and written
  • Ability to influence peer group
  • Ability to perform in complex cross-functional business environment
  • General legal knowledge, high level of diligence, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend the business requirements and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications

Education/Experience
Advanced degree and 8+ years business experience in outsourcing or relevant industry; advanced contract and outsourcing industry knowledge and experience preferably in international contracting, project and relationship management or other similarly complex contractual arrangements.
