Cognos Data Administrator


My client, one of the biggest financial institution in Cracow, is looking for Cognos Data Administrator! 

Overview:
Cognos Data Administrator will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning and maintaining Cognos infrastructure. When required provide out-of-hours support for the Cognos environments. The ideal candidate for this role will have good analytical and logical thinking skills with an ability to prioritise work and successfully deliver to agreed service levels in a diverse and challenging technical environment                                                                      

Key Accountabilities:
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting incidents across multiple large Cognos environments supporting 1000s of users
  • Installation and administration of the Cognos BI v11 infrastructure
  • Assist in debugging, solutioning and root cause analysis of Cognos environment outages
  • Assist Cognos report developers to correct issues
  • Liaising with development and business stakeholders in the resolution of issues.
 Requirements:
  • Cognos BI Administration and the Cognos BI suite of tools                                                            
  • Cognos Administration, Linux, Java.
  • IBM Certified Designer - Cognos Analytics 11
 Nice to have:
  • Experience working in the following environment/s: Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing
  • Experience working in the Financial Market
  • Relevant qualification/s IBM Certified Cognos Administrator
  • A good understanding of the full IT project lifecycle
